MD TECH
Terms of Use
LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
These terms cover your use of the MD Tech website. They do not cover Privio or our other products, which have their own terms. Use the site lawfully, respect our content, and remember that what we publish here is general information.
1. Agreement and scope
By accessing or using the MD Tech website (the “site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms apply to the site only. They are separate from the terms for any product or service we provide.
2. Who may use the site
You may use the site if you are able to form a binding agreement where you live. If you are younger, you may use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. Our products
Products such as Privio are governed by their own terms of service, which you accept separately when you use them. If a product's terms conflict with these terms, the product's terms govern that product.
4. Using the site
You may browse the site and share links to it for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- disrupt, overload or damage the site or the systems it runs on;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or other people's data;
- introduce malware or other harmful code;
- use automated tools to copy the site in ways that harm it or breach these terms;
- misrepresent who you are or imply that you are affiliated with MD Tech; or
- use the site in violation of any law.
5. Intellectual property
The MD Tech name, logo and layered mark, together with the text, diagrams, engineering notes and other content on the site, belong to MD Tech or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to view the site and to print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short excerpts from our engineering notes if you credit MD Tech and link back to the source. Any other use, including copying, modifying, republishing or using our name or logo, requires our written permission.
Other product and company names may be trademarks of their owners.
6. Messages you send us
You are responsible for what you send us. Please do not send anything unlawful, harmful or deceptive, and please avoid sensitive personal information. Sending a message does not create a business relationship, and we do not treat it as confidential unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
We may use what you send to respond to you. If you give us feedback or suggestions about the site or our products, we may use them to improve what we do without owing you payment or credit.
7. Security research
We welcome good-faith reports of vulnerabilities, sent privately through the Security page. When testing, do not access, change or delete other people's data, do not disrupt our services or anyone else's, and do not use social engineering or physical attacks. Give us a reasonable time to respond before sharing details publicly. We treat reports that follow these rules as good-faith research. We do not currently offer a paid bounty program.
8. Information on this site
The site, including our engineering notes, is provided for general information and education. Notes explain concepts in simplified form, may not cover every situation and may become out of date. Nothing on the site is professional, legal or security advice for your particular circumstances, so please verify anything important before relying on it.
9. Third-party links
The site may link to websites we do not own or control, such as the Privio website. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MD Tech and the people who work for it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Suspension and changes
We may restrict or end access to the site for anyone who breaches these terms, and we may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MD Tech is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, any mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live still apply to you.
14. General
These terms are the entire agreement between you and MD Tech about the site. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms, but we may transfer ours as part of a business transfer.
